Brad’s broadcasting career began at WGSA-AM in Ephrata, Pennsylvania in 1988. After working in sales, promotions, news, sports and on-air, Brad was promoted to News Director in 1989. He left Ephrata in 1990 to assume News/Sports Director duties at 92.1 GOLD/1590 WCBG in Mercersburg/Chambersburg, PA. After the stations merged with WAYZ and WHGT in 1993, Brad served as News Director of all four stations simultaneously and as Program Director of WCBG, overseeing its conversion to a News/Talk format.
In 1994, Brad came to Harrisburg to become the morning anchor for Radio Pennsylvania, a statewide network consisting of more than 60 radio stations across PA. He was promoted to Assignment Editor in 1998 and then to News Director in 2007. In his 17 years at Radio PA, Brad has reported on some of the biggest stories in Pennsylvania’s history, and he recently collected his 100th award for broadcasting and journalistic excellence. Brad has received honors from organizations including The Associated Press, UPI, the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of State Radio Networks, The National Headliner Awards, the U.S. Army and more.
Brad is a past President (2006-07) of the Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association and continues to serve on the association’s Board of Directors. He is also a past President (2003) of the National Association of State Radio Networks News Directors Association.
